International Game Technology PLC Announces Completion of Acquisition of iSoftBet – European Gaming Industry News

The greats and good of the games industry were celebrated at the TIGA Games Industry Awards 2022 last night at the historic Church House Westminster in London.

These were the first in-person awards for TIGA since the COVID-19 pandemic, with more than 300 gaming industry personalities in attendance to cheer on the games, studios, universities and vital service support companies that have excelled over the past year.

Supermassive Games won the prestigious Game of the Year award for The Quarry, with the game also winning Best Audio Design. The studio also won a third prize – Creativity in Games – for The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes.

ustwo games took to the stage twice, winning Best Small Studio, as well as Best Casual Game for Alba: A Wildlife Adventure.

Rebellion was named Best Large Studio, while kwalee won the award for best editor, and Sumo Group received the Outstanding Employer of the Year award.

A new category – CSR Commitment – ​​has been introduced for 2022, with PlayStation Studio London the first recipient of this important award.

Two people were rewarded during the evening. Karen McLoughlin, Group HR Director at Sumo Group received the Outstanding Leadership Award. Meanwhile, Jon Rissik, CEO of Dovetail Games was named Outstanding Individual of the Year.
